Jordi Solé Blanch's research activity is primarily focused on the field of social pedagogy: analysis of professional practices in the field of education and social work, contemporary socio-educational models, educational theories, critical thinking and collective action. 

He is a member of the Social Education Laboratory (LES), a research group attached to the Faculty of Psychology and Education Sciences at the UOC, and the Research Group on Contemporary Pedagogical and Social Thought (GREPPS) at the University of Barcelona.

Honourable mention from the Institute of Youth (INJUVE), the Spanish Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs.

2007 INJUVE doctoral thesis award for: Antropología de la educación y pedagogía de la juventud: procesos de enculturación (2005, Universitat Rovira i Virgili).
