Aida Sánchez de Serdio Martín's research activity focuses on the fields of art, visual culture, education in the arts, collaborative artistic practices and cultural policies.

She studies socially and culturally situated approaches in art and visual culture, particularly those related with collective and collaborative cultural production, audience agency and the conditions of cultural work. Her main field of expertise are the educational practices involved in art and culture, understood as a place for the production of knowledge, deployment of political debates and social transformation.

Her research lies in the common territory between theoretical reflection and practical intervention, and is aimed at building a thought-action model shared among different agents.
