Marc Romero's R&I work focuses on investigating emerging education scenarios and open, flexible and online teaching and learning strategies with the aim of transforming and improving educational practice.

As part of the Edul@b group, he studies s how institutions/organizations, teachers and administrators tackle these new scenarios, especially the ones mediated by digital technologies, in order to anticipate changes and improve teaching and learning processes. He sees students as lifelong learners (from school to retirement) and as citizens and professionals.

His main research interests are online collaboration, training in the uses and applications of digital technologies for different educational spheres and levels, as well as training in digital skills for teachers and students and learning ecologies as the basis for professional development.
