Ana Rodríguez Granell has a degree and PhD in Art History from the University of Barcelona (2012).

She has been a member of the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the UOC since 2009, and in 2016 was a visiting scholar at Goldsmiths, University of London. She was appointed associate professor at the UOC in 2018.

Her teaching role involves coordinating courses in the fields of art history, architecture, history of film and history of culture for various UOC bachelor's and master's degrees (History, Geography and Art History (UOC, University of Lleida); Humanities, Arts, Design).

Her research work covers a range of fields including the history of film, the history of culture and art, with a particular interest in issues related to modernity, the rise of fascism and the emergence of critical practices and processes of politicization in art. She has published numerous articles in journals such as Visual Studies, the Journal of Spanish Cultural Studies and Arte, Individuo y Sociedad. Her most recent research has focused on the relationship between fascism and modernity through architecture and the visual culture of Francoism.
