The research activities of Albert Puig Gómez focus, basically, on analysing certain elements making up the so-called economic globalisation process. Taking as their reference point one of the institutions that has come to define this process, the multinational corporation, and applying a specific theoretical model thereto, upon the basis of the required field studies, the researcher has performed a range of empirical work applied to specific cases, from the transition economies of Eastern Europe or Central Asia to those closer to hand, such as the Catalan economy.
