Dr Antoni Meseguer-Artola is a full professor of Quantitative Methods for Economics and Business at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). He has a PhD in Economics and Business Studies (1997) and a master's degree in Economic Analysis (1994), part of the international PhD programme in Economic Analysis, from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). In addition, he holds a degree in Mathematics (1992) from the University of Barcelona (UB), specializing in Applied Mathematics. Before joining the UOC, he was adjunct professor in Statistics and Mathematics in the Department of Economics and Economic History at the UAB (1992-1997), where he obtained an FPI (research staff training) grant. While at the UOC, he has coordinated the area of Statistics and Mathematics, and has been the director of the llicenciatura degree in Labour Sciences (2001-2006) and dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business (2006-2010). He has been the director of the doctoral programme in Business Administration and Management at the UOC since 2020. He has also worked with the UB as an adjunct professor in the Department of Econometrics, Statistics and Spanish Economy (2010-2020).

Professor Meseguer-Artola is a researcher in the Digital Business Research Group (DigiBiz) at the UOC. He has published extensively on digital marketing, consumer behaviour, e-learning and game theory in JCR- and Scopus-indexed journals with high impact factors. He has also co-published various book chapters, books and manuals. He has presented his research at dozens of international scientific congresses, and has participated in various competitive research projects funded by Catalan, Spanish and European institutions.

Antoni Meseguer-Artola is a member of the Statistical Institute of Catalonia (IDESCAT) and a founding member of the Catalan Statistical Society. He has official accreditations from the Catalan University Quality Assurance Agency (AQU) for advanced research, research and as a private university professor, four teaching merits and one research merit.
