The R&I activity of researcher David Martínez-Robles focuses on the study of interactions between the Chinese-speaking world and the European world from a historical perspective. His main research interests are the history of modern and contemporary China, colonial history in East Asia and the cultural factors related to it, and the development of historiographical accounts of China. He is a researcher in the ALTER. Crisis, Otherness and Representation research group in the Faculty of Arts and Humanities at the UOC.
