Elisenda Estanyol is academic director of the Master's Degree in Corporate Communication, Protocol and Events, and member of the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC).

She has a PhD from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), for which she wrote a thesis entitled "La gestión de la creatividad en las empresas consultoras de comunicación y relaciones públicas" (Managing creativity in communication and public relations consultancy firms). She also has a master's degree in Business Communication, specializing in Digital Technologies, from Pompeu Fabra University's Barcelona School of Management (UPF-BSM).

Her research activity focuses on new trends in persuasive communication in the information and knowledge society. Specific areas include creativity in public relations, the communicative aspect of corporate social responsibility (CSR), new professional practices in corporate communication through social media, event organization and protocol, and the use of gamification techniques in communication campaigns.

She is a member of the UOC's Learning, Media and Entertainment research group (GAME).
