His research has focused on Spanish and Catalan intellectual, cultural and political history in the contemporary era, recently distilled in the research project “Regiocat. 

To do so, the research focuses on the following objectives:

1) understanding the scope and evolution of initiatives of a regionalist nature;

2) analysing how they were organized politically;

3) establishing their cultural discourses and practices.

Regiocat is part of IdentiCat, an interdisciplinary research group made up of sociolinguists, historians and specialists in cultural policies, literature, art and cultural studies who are interested in the contemporary processes of identity construction and articulation of subjectivities, with a predominant focus on Catalan identity.
