The main aim of researcher Mercè Boixadós Anglès' R&I work is the study of the psychological aspects connected with the use of ICT in relation to people’s health and quality of life.

Her current lines of work are linked to the promotion of health on the internet among different groups and states of health (chronic pain, teenagers, etc). Her previous research lines, carried out at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB), were related to values through sport.

She takes part in various activities and projects in collaboration with other national and international research institutions and centres. The results of her research contribute not only to improving people’s quality of life, but also to providing government agencies with better Guidance on the use of ICT to promote health in its broadest sense.

She is a member of the UOC’s PSiNET (Psychology, Health and Internet) research group.
