The R&D activities of researcher Albert Batlle focus on the study of the effects of the use of ICT in the political sphere.

Specifically, within the scope of the GADE group, his research lines focus on analysing the use of social media by political players and the possible effects on the public agenda and public opinion. Outside of the group, he also studies the political party system in Andorra: analysis of its features and historical evolution since 1993 and comparative analysis of the political party systems of other European microstates.
