My profile

The R&D activities of researcher Luis Villarejo Muñoz focus on the study of the application of technology for education to create useful tools for the learning community. His main research interests are the application of language technologies (machine translation, opinion mining, sentiment analysis, question answering, etc.) to education and the application of augmented reality to the fields of tourism, culture, art and teaching. He is a member of the UOC's LNT (New Tourism Laboratory) and ATE (Education Technology Department) R&D groups.

Tools for the community

Design and development of applications for generating a feeling of community within the UOC Learning Environment. To do this:

- We analyse the needs of all types of users.
- We provide a customised online environment, increasing the level of personalisation.
- We set up projects that make the most of portable and mobile devices

Educational Technology

Technological evolution of the virtual campus environment. The overall objective is to broaden access, increase communication and collaboration, facilitate shopping for courses for students, contribute to academic development, promote collaborative development, take the initiative with regard to new educational technologies, reduce costs, manage distributed resources and centralise media.

Teaching innovation in tourism

Development of teaching tools that can be used in e-learning methods applied to training in tourism.

Application of ICT in tourism innovation, both in the field of private companies and in the public sector and tourism organisations.

Creation of ICT tools for e-learning teaching in tourism: Application of software for the simulation of analysis and consultancy tasks in tourism and for the creation of tourism businesses.
