Tuset Peiró, Pere

Pere Tuset is a professor at the Faculty of Computer Science, Multimedia and Telecommunications and a researcher with the WiNe (Wireless Networks) research group.

 His research activity focuses on the design, development and evaluation of wireless sensor networks applied to the distributed monitoring of physical parameters, with applications in industry and cities.

In the electronics field, the main challenges are size reduction, energy consumption and cost of the devices. In the communications field, the main challenges are radio spectrum management and the devices' medium access control.

Lastly, in the computing field, the main challenges are the algorithms required for data processing and efficient resource management.
