Candela Ollé's R&I activity focuses on carrying out metric and statistical studies of information (bibliometrics, library statistics), as well as user studies (qualitative techniques). She also examines the communication and dissemination of scientific research and academic journals, as well as Spain's progress in developing open access strategies and managing research data.
Her research interests also include journalism and new narratives.
She carries out all her research as a member of the CRICC research centre (University of Barcelona), under the Open Access to Science project.
