ContactHuertas Sánchez, Maria Antonia
The R&D activities of researcher Maria Antonia Huertas focus on knowledge engineering and its application in technology enhanced learning.
Knowledge engineering analyses the development of models for improving the functionality of tools and applications in interactive environments.
The main lines of research are:
- The logical underpinnings of knowledge engineering, in particular the study of the logic of and techniques for representing knowledge and reasoning.
- The use of knowledge representation techniques for formalising and discussing interactive systems.
- The application of knowledge engineering and the analysis of interactive systems in the context of technology enhanced learning, particularly in the design and development of e-assessment systems and tools for the e-learning of mathematics.
She is lead researcher of the UOC's CIMANET (Networked Sciences and Mathematics) R&D group.
