Gabriela Fauth is a jurist; she holds a master's degree in Urban Planning, History and Architecture of the Brazilian City and a PhD in Law from Rovira i Virgili University (awarded cum laude and winner of the 2015 special doctoral award). She completed postdoctoral studies together with the Postgraduate Programme in Urban Planning (PROURB) from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

She is a researcher at the NODES research group (Universitat Oberta de Catalunya), collaborating researcher at the Law and Urbanism Laboratory (LADU - Federal University of Rio de Janeiro) and the Center for Environmental Law Studies of Tarragona (CEDAT - Universitat Rovira i Virgili).

Her R&I activity focuses on the main areas of law: environment and urban planning. Her research encompasses the following topics: law in the city, city and environment, vulnerability, sustainability, social efficacy of the rule of law, legal pluralism, and diffuse and collective rights.

Accredited by ANECA (assistant professor and doctoral degree holder) and AQU Catalunya (lecturer).

Author of a number of scientific articles and book chapters on the above topics.
