Marc Compte Pujol has a PhD in Advanced Communication Studies from Ramon Llull University (URL) and master's degrees in Advertising Strategies and Creativity, in Film Directing and in Business Administration. He also has a llicenciatura in Audiovisual Communication.
Compte Pujol is the coordinating professor for creativity and strategy courses in the Faculty of Information and Communication Sciences at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). He is a freelance communications consultant and content creator. He has worked for agencies handling the strategic and creative aspects of brands such as Sony and Danone.
Pujol's R&I work focuses on the study of the relationship between organizations and their audiences and the application of strategic planning to communication. His main research interests are organizational communication strategies, public relations, place brands and heritage communication. He is also a specialist in the educational and career development of communication professionals and the patient experience.
He is the scientific coordinator of the Association of Researchers in Public Relations (AIRP) and a member of two thematic research networks of the European Public Relations Education and Research Association (EUPRERA): one on the role of communication professionals in Europe and one on strategy and internal communication management.
