Holder of a degree in Chemical Engineering (1999), a master's degree in Experimental Chemistry (2000) and a doctoral degree in Environmental Biotechnology (2002) from the University of Barcelona. He also holds a master's degree in Occupational Health and Safety (2002) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC) and a master's degree in Business Administration and Management from the European School of Business (2009).

Since 2010, he has been a member of the teaching staff the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya's Faculty of Economics and Business, where he coordinates the operations management courses for the Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration and Management. He is also a teacher for the University Master's Degree in Corporate Social Responsibility, director of the University Master's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety and associate dean of teaching for the University's Faculty of Economics and Business.

In addition, he is an adjunct professor at the University of Barcelona's Department of Business in the field of operations management.

He is a member of the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya's (UOC) consolidated research group, Digital Business (DigiBiz). His current research activity focuses on flexible working and human capital, particularly on the  psychosocial risks of teleworking and its relationship with the leadership model.

He is the Director of the UOC's Master's Programme in Occupational Health and Safety and a member of the UOC’s DigiBiz (Digital Business Research Group) R&D group –which is credited as a Consolidated Research Group by the Generalitat of Catalonia.
