Researcher Míriam Arenas' R&I work focuses on the study of the social dimensions that make up care relationships in contemporary societies, through sociology, feminist theories and disability studies. Particularly interested in the forms of activism and social movements aimed at transforming these relationships and redefining or expanding the care concept, she also looks at the analysis of mechanisms that may enhance protection in situations of vulnerability through social and political participation dynamics.

She is a member of the CareNet (Care and Preparedness in the Network Society) research group at the UOC.
