Our group offers support in the development of smart solutions for complex real-life problems in the areas of logistics, transportation, and production as well as in the areas of distributed and parallel computing (including cluster, grid and cloud computing). Our smart solutions combine different techniques, including: data analysis/mining, computer simulation, and heuristics (optimization).

Transcranial magnetic stimulation equipment to reconstruct a brain in 3 dimensions

  • Tools and techniques offered: Transcranial magnetic stimulator; E-PRIME software; Brainsight™ 2 Neuronavigation system TMS. In the laboratory we have a complete transcranial magnetic stimulation unit with an infrared neuronavigation system that enables a three-dimensional reconstruction of the brain using the results of the region of interest, with an automatic curvilinear reconstruction system. We also have a set of IT tools for the development and generation of experiments in cognitive neuroscience and data collection and analysis.

  • Quality certification of telemedicine projects: Conception and development of a model for telemedicine and for telemedicine experience evaluation implemented throughout the Catalan healthcare system and incorporated in the LabTM, to incorporate them into the Virtual telemedicine Observatory as a "Telemedicine experience accredited by the UOC", certifying that it meets the minimum technological, organisational and administrative requirements established by the UOC.
